As we edge closer to the release of Minor Victories' self-titled debut album, due 3 June via Play It Again Sam, the indie super group - Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite, Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell, Editors’ Justin Lockey and his brother James - have revealed brilliant cat-filled visuals for 'Scattered Ashes (Song for Richard)'. Calling upon the vocal work of The Twilight Sad's James Graham, it moves the outfit in a brighter direction, with wailing strings and powerful rhythms driving the action along, maintaining that cinematic hue which will make up such an important part of their upcoming live dates. The humour of the video offsets the underlying emotion apparent in all-things Minor Victories, who continue to show off their dark indie prowess. N.B.
